About Us

The Ryan White CARE Act provides federal funding for HIV/AIDS services.  Pima County will receive just over $2 million for services in fiscal year 2007-08.  The Pima County HIV/AIDS CARE Consortium is responsible for the administration of services funded by Ryan White Part B. The annual allocation of funds is guided by a community needs assessment process and by recommendations from an independent advisory committee made up of people living with HIV/AIDS, community members, and service providers. Programs and agencies receiving Ryan White Part B funds in Pima County collaborate with one another to offer a continuum of essential services to people living with HIV and AIDS, such as primary medical care, case management, medications assistance, mental health services, dental care, in-home services, and substance abuse.  Primary care services are available to people who are HIV+ and uninsured or underinsured. There are many more services available in Pima County for people living with HIV/AIDS. Feel free to contact the Consortium office for a complete directory of available resources.
